.: Renovation Work : Part 12 :.

It has been so long I didn't update my blog..Since I'm working on night shift this week + no internet line @ home, it's quite difficult to update the blog..Anyway today I got free time to update..Below are summary on what did happened during last weekend :

1. Saturday 24th April 2010

-Installation of granite for wet kitchen and solid surface for dry kitchen
-Wardrobe measurement by Jeff

2. Sunday 25th April 2010
-Installation of hod + hob + oven
-Gardening project with my dad

Alhamdulillah, finally the renovation works are completed for phase 1 :)..There might be another series of renovation in the future e.g. autogate, replace the gate with wrought iron, wardrobe for all rooms except guest room etc..

.: Renovation Work : Part 11 :.

Last weekend, our PS contractor resume their work to install the granite..Unfortunate it was half way done since the longer part of the granite accidentally broken :(..So they will come again this week to replace the new one for it and the installation of the solid surface also will be done this weekend..

My family will come to my house this week..Hooray!! So me and my dad will continue our gardening project :)..And this weekend also we had an appointment with Jeff to measure wardrobe + shoe rack for our house..

Below are things that will be happened this weekend :

1) Installation of the granite + solid surface
2) Installation of hod + hob + oven
3) Wardrobe measurement by Jeff
4) Gardening project with my dad

Erm..It will be a busy + enjoy weekend with a lot of activity :)..

.: Renovation Work : Part 10 :.

Last Friday, Patric contractors came to my house for KC installation..It takes about 7 hours to finish the installation..Anyway, our KC still not completed yet since the granite (dry kitchen) + solid surface (dry kitchen) will be install this weekend..

So now we are awaiting for solid surface + granite to be install this weekend..Then we can make an appoinment with hood + hob + oven guy to come to install all the things :)..

.: Renovation Work : Part 9 :.

Alhamdulillah, after 3 weeks of renovation works, finally everything completed..Thanks to all the contractors for the superb + great job!!

Yesterday we went to the house again to do final checking with Subra for the wiring works..After satisfy with their works, I paid him RM3700 for the balance..So total for the wiring cost is RM5200, that include wiring for the whole house + installation for fans + lights + door bell..

Then me and family spent few more hours to wash + clean the house..Anyway below is the latest summary on the renovation works :

1. Renovation Work on 10th and 11th Day

-Wiring work completed. Total cost is RM5200
-Wrought iron installation completed. Need to do final check on the finishing before we pay for the balance :)

As for now, everything seems to be ready to move in..The only thing that need to be done + pending jobs are :

1) Take measurement for the curtain and we will assign Teewah for the sewing job
2) Installation of roller-blind for dry kitchen
3) Installation of kitchen cabinet by Patric - Appointment on 10th April 2010
4) Make arrangement with the transportation for the moving

I think that's for now..I'll update more with the latest info on the next post :)..

.: Renovation Work : Part 8 :.

It was a tight + busy week during last weekend + this week..Since we will be moving in to the new house by the end of this week, a lot of things need to be done :)..

Anyway I'll try to update this blog daily so that all the readers can see the progress on the renovation..Below is some summary on the renovation works + pics taken during weekend :

1. Renovation Work on 8th and 9th Day

-Painting job completed on 2nd floor. Great job done by Tajab and the gang
-Curtain rail installation completed. Thanks to Mr Lee for the good job
-My outdoor gardening continue. I'm only plow the grass
-Wiring work will still continue with installation of fan + lights
-Wrought iron installation still NOT completed. Will resume their work by today

Last Sunday me + wife together wash + clean the house..It's take almost 7 hours to clean the whole house..It's very tired weekend but we are very satisfy because manage to clean + wash the house ourselves..

.: Renovation Work : Unexpected Thingy : Part 1 :.

Hello, I wanna share with all the readers this interesting topic..Somehow, we cannot predict or foreseen the simple things will be the toughest thing during the renovation period..Below I list down few list for your reference :

1. Curtain + Rail

At first, someone will telling me this job will be an easy task..But unfortunately it's not..At first, you really make sure that you already had an exact measurement for the curtain + rail..If not, it will end up with short or long curtain + rail :)..

That's why we prefer to assign the expert to do that..Let's the expert do their job.. For example, we went to few curtain expertise to get their consultation for the rail..Detail will be explain more below :

a) Macy

The service is quite professional..They provide the installation for the rail + take the exact measurement at your house..We need to book a time with them so that they can come over to your place to measure the exact measurement..Unfortunately, we have to wait for a week so that they can come over to my place, because their schedule are already fully-booked..And the price..i think it is average for the modern + contemporary class..

b) Teewah

The service is OK..But,they didn't provide the consultation to measure the exact measurement at your house..They really and really depend on your exact measurement..
And some more, they didn't provide the installation for the rail..You need to assign someone to place the rail for you :)..And for the price, it's really cheap compare to the modern + contemporary class..

c) Florentino

It's a Singapore base curtain company..The service is professional, provide the installation for the rail + take the exact measurement at your house..Here also need to book a time with them so that they can come over to your place to measure the exact measurement..But we no need to wait longer since their contractor is available during our agreed time..And for the price..it depends on what type of cotton you are choosing and they are really depend on your budget also!! :)

For us, we already assign Florento to do the measurement + installation of the curtain rail, but for the curtain, we choose Teewah since the price is slidely cheaper + less budget :) ..I'll continue on the next post on the unexpected things during renovation day!!

Yesterday me and family went to the new house to check on the progress..Below is some summary on the renovation works + pics taken yesterday :

1. Renovation Work on 7th Day

-Painting job completed on 1st floor. We will assign Tajib to continue paint job for the upper floor
-My outdoor gardening stop
-Wiring work will continue with installation of fan + lights on this Friday
-Wrought iron installation almost completed. Maybe will resume their work today or tomorrow

Anyway, we are very satisfy with the paint job. The only thing we are not very satisfy is the wrought iron finishing..Maybe the installation is not finish yet, but we really hope they can repaint + re-cement all the hole that they made..Will continue on next post later :)..

.: Renovation Work : Part 6 :.

This afternoon, I went to the house to check on the progress..Yesterday I met with Florenti contractor, to measure the exact height and width of the doors + windows..So now they can proceed with ordering all the materials for the curtain rail..

Yesterday also I met with Tajab, contractor recommended by Subra..So after discuss with him, we agree to appoint him for paint works..The cost for paint the plaster ceiling + hall + bedroom is RM650..Is it cheap??

But after looking the quality of the paint job today, I'm quite satisfy with their job..Today also Bahari went to our house to install our new wrought iron grill..As mentioned by him, the installation will take 2 days to complete..

-Plaster ceiling job completed..Painting job assigned to Tajib

-Wiring work almost completed, they will continue their work for fan + lights installation once the paint job done
