This morning, I went to Bahari showroom/factory @ Putra Perdana in order to choose the wrought iron design..After a few discussion among us (me, wife and Bahari), we have decided to choose the simple + look gorgeous design :)..tomorrow, Bahari will show us the real toilet window before he can proceed with the rest..

Here is the latest update for the checklist of renovation work :

1. Get MPSJ permission for the renovation work - Status : DONE. Didn't require permit since the renovation work is done inside the house..The permit will be needed if the renovation is done outside the house
2. Get developer permission for the renovation work - Status : Not Done
3. Measurement for KC has been done by Patric - Status : DONE. Next step, awaiting my confirmation when they can start their work
4. Design for the Grill has been confirmed. Appoint Bahari for it - Cost : RM7116 (Wrought Iron for complete home),RM9116 (Wrought Iron for complete home + Gate) - Status : Awaiting for the real toilet window before he can proceed with the rest
5. Got quotation from KH Construction Metal Works for the Grill - Cost : RM5800, Wrought Iron (hollow) for complete home - Status : Canceled
6. Got quotation from Orbit Networking Marketing for the Auto Gate - Cost : RM2400, Auto Gate, with Cable Armour Conceal - Status : Will Consider
7. Got quotation from Lai for the PS - Cost : RM3867.60 (installation + materials) Status : Confirmed the PS design
8. Got quotation from Haji for the PS - Cost : RM3200 (workmanship) + RM2000 (price estimation for the material) - Status : Canceled

Today I only have 1 appointment which is with Patric KC..As agreed, he came to do measurement for our new KC..And since he is coming to my house, I'm also ask the quotation for the shoe rack + wardrobe for all rooms + ottoman + tv cabinet :)..

Tomorrow, there will be a tight schedule for us..Early morning, we will going to Bahari showroom/factory @ Putra Perdana in order to choose the wrought iron design..Then we will going to Bandar Baru Bangi to attend my x-school mate wedding..And later @ 3.30pm, Aleeya will having her swimming class @ Pusat Akuatik Nasional, Bukit Jalil..And if there is enough time, we will going to Jom Heboh @ Stadium Bukit Jalil :)..

.: Renovation Plan : Part 2 :.

Today i have 3 appointments with the contractors..Earlier morning, I met up with Haji, our previous contractor..I'm just wanna get a quotation for the PS for the whole house..After taking all the measurement, he is asking RM3200 for the workmanship after he calculated based on below calculation :

Workmanship = RM80(per day) * 4 (person) * 10 (days of work) = RM3200

Anyway, all the materials I need to buy separately, and after I calculated, it might be cost me around RM2000..So if appoint him to be my contractor for the PS, it will cost me around RM5200..

Then, the next appointment is with Mr Lai, also the contractor for PS..And after taking the measurements and select the PS design, he is quoting me RM3867.60..That cost include all the materials + installation..Erm, the price is quite reasonable + attractive..So for the design, there is pictures below for the hall, and for upstairs, we only put the cornice since there is existing PS provided by the developer..

And for the last appoinment, I met up with Bahri, the contractor for grill..After taking the measurement for all the windows + sliding doors, he is quoting me RM7116 (Wrought Iron for complete home) and RM9116 (Wrought Iron for complete home + gate)..I think we might be appoint him as our grill contractor since his price is quite reasonable and still within the budget :)..

Alhamdulillah..The joint inspection with the developer has been done with successfully + smoothly..It takes almost 1 hour to go through all the checklist in order to handover the house with the great condition..Anyway, I still have 18 months warranty to report any defects on the house..

So, starting from now on, I need to do the checklist for the renovation work..and below is the list :

Hoorayy!!!! After a loong wait, finally we had booking our appointment for joint inspection + handover house key today around 2pm..

Last Sunday, my wife spent 1 hour to accompany Aleeya Afiqah for her swimming class @ Pusat Akuatik Nasional, Bukit Jalil..The class was conducted by PowerSwim and handled by Akademi Al fan..

Erm..It's only few days to come for Chinese New Year..This year, it will be celebrate on 14th and 15th February 2010..So it will be a long holiday then :)..
